Properties of Stars - Part 2 - Tonight's presentation is a look at Stellar & Cosmic distances and it's measurements. Looking at magnitude, Parallax, Light Years and Parsecs, Cepheid Variables, Red Shifts.

Speaker: Roy Gunson

Degree in Physics from the University of Bradford, MSc in engineering. Later worked as IT Manager for Sheffield Hallam University at Psalter Lane (Art College) before it was knocked down. After working for over 30 years at Sheffield Hallam University Roy has now settled down to a busier life as "retired". A prolific speaker for Probus, UA3, and WI groups as well as astronomical societies.
