Nicks talk is essentially an overview of these under-discussed nebulae (in amateur circles) and a bit on his project.

Nick has long been dedicated to amateur astronomy. Although deep sky astronomy has always been his area of expertise (he served as director of the BAA's deep sky section from 1992 to 2003), he also enjoys all facets of astronomy. He is also a passionate eclipse chaser and Mars imager (when not too low!). He initially joined the BAA in 1967 and remained a member until 1974, pausing for a time during which he indulged in wine, women, and music before re-joining in 1983. He has valued the companionship and support of many outstanding amateur and professional astronomers. He recently left the practice of general medicine and wants to increase his productivity regarding observations and imaging.
