Come geek out with us and see how robotic telescope operated from afar are used to explore the stars! Frustration with cloudy skies and light pollution are driving more and more amateur astrophotographers to turn to robotic telescopes at remote sites with dark skies. This talk describes how to do this, and that factors involved in selecting a suitable remote site.

Speaker: Peter Goodhew

Peter Goodhew has been operating robotic telescopes at remote sites for the past 10 years. His images are frequently published in magazines such as Astronomy Now and Sky and Telescope. In recent years he has been using remote telescopes to support professional astronomers in their research activities. Peter is a Fellow of the Royal Astronomical Society.
