Join the team at Old Moor and Mexborough and Swinton Astronomical Society for an evening of natural spectacle.
RSPB Old Moor and Mexborough and Swinton Astronomical Society (MSAS) are combining astronomy with creatures of the night.
Sunset is 19:10, so the event will be running from 20:45 when it gets dark until - 22:30. Choose your time to come and explore the night sky.
MSAS are bringing with them powerful telescopes and guide you through the night sky and they are also bringing with them an astronomical display and night sky computer atlas demonstrations in the café.
We will also have a very unique experience with night vision binoculars and thermal imaging cameras to look for mammals and birds at night from the lookout hide over the mere.
There will be serving hot drinks and snacks available in the café from 20:45 - 21:45
