How to build a presentation for the Society
Members only evening.
Thursday, 17th September 2026 (19:45 - 22:00)
Venue: Meeting Room
This session is designed to guide members through the process of creating engaging, informative, and visually effective presentations tailored for an astronomical audience. Whether you're sharing astrophotography, explaining celestial phenomena, or presenting research, this meeting will cover the essential structure and techniques needed to communicate your ideas clearly and confidently.
We’ll explore how to plan your content, structure a compelling narrative, and design slides that enhance rather than distract from your message. Practical tips on using images, data visualisation, and storytelling will be included, along with advice on presenting complex astronomical concepts in an accessible way.
Attendees will also have the opportunity to discuss common challenges, review example presentations, and ask questions. By the end of the session, you should feel better equipped to create presentations that captivate and inform fellow society members.
