I am the Professor of Electrochemistry and Electrochemical Technology and a Royal Society University Research Fellow in the School of Chemistry at the University of Glasgow. My main research interests are in developing new electrochemical processes and electrochemical technology for the more sustainable production of fuels and key chemical feedstocks. My research group conduct fundamental studies into the processes underlying reactions of interest, and we also try to develop devices to apply the principles we have learned in a real-world setting. More on our research and other activities can be found at www.symeslab.com
