The Vera Rubin Observatory is a cutting-edge astronomical facility located in Chile. It is named after astronomer Vera Rubin, known for her pioneering work on dark matter. The observatory is designed to conduct the Legacy Survey of Space and Time (LSST), a 10-year survey that will observe the entire visible sky multiple times. LSST aims to study a wide range of astronomical phenomena, including dark matter, dark energy, asteroids, and transient events. Equipped with a large telescope and a powerful camera, the Vera Rubin Observatory will provide invaluable data to advance our understanding of the universe.
