So Santa brought you a telescope.

Astronomical Event

Thursday, 29th December 2022 (16:00 - 20:00)

Venue: The J.A. Jones Hoober Observatory

Mexborough and Swinton Astronomical Society will be holding a free event on Thursday December 29th at their observatory at Hoober, Rotherham. Were you given a telescope by Santa?

Are you currently perplexed as to how to use it?

Learn how to operate your telescope at this free session. First-time telescope owners frequently lament, "I've got this new telescope and I can't see a thing through it."

This event's goal is to provide you with the best possible experience with your brand-new telescope. At the "So Santa Brought You a Telescope" workshop, bring your telescope, and professionals from the MSAS will teach you how to use it.

Please allow us to demonstrate how to get the most out of your telescope. Learn how to set up your telescope correctly, locate celestial objects, identify valuable accessories, and maintain your telescope. Visit https://msas.org.uk for more information and to contact them.

Bring your telescope to the J.A. Jones Hoober Observatory Lee Brook Lane Wentworth S62 7SH on Thursday, December 29 after 4 p.m. to learn how to use it under the real sky with assistance from our members (weather permitting).
