An introduction to the topic of astronomy and space celebrated through philately, including the world’s first astronomy stamps, the global spread of astronomy on stamps and astronomy/space discoveries and achievements that have appeared on stamps and other philatelic material.

 

Speaker: Katrin Raynor-Evans

Katrin Raynor-Evans is a Fellow of the Royal Astronomical Society and Royal Geographical Society. She is a regular contributor to BBC Sky at Night and Gibbons Stamp Monthly.

Katrin has a regular weekly column for All About Stamps and volunteers as a Program Producer for Astro Radio.

She is co-authoring her first book and last year Asteroid 446500 katrinraynor was named after her.
